Thanks to all who came to the very first Boston-created Sunday Assembly!
We had a great turn out of approximately 60 people, who helped to make the Assembly the great success that it was!
This addition of Sunday Assembly was led by our wonderful MC, Bob Faw, who guided us through the Assembly and helped many of our attendees get to know each other.
Jessica Ahlquist made an inspiring speech about the importance of activism, and how even one person can make a real difference in his or her community. She reminded us to even if you don’t think of yourself as a brave person, you can still do brave acts.
Cheryl Browne made a touching, personal speech about the importance of unconditional love and the struggle she went through to find it.
The band Pet Jail led us through dynamic renditions of our 4 songs: “Dirty Water,” “Joy to the World,” “Ho, Hey,” and “Should I Stay or Should I Go.” We had great audience participation as well!
After the Assembly we chatted and had some tasty snacks.
We hope everyone who came had a good time, and we can’t wait to see you again on May 17th! We’ll be in an even larger room next time so don’t forget to invite your friends and family!
